Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Shiksha Setu platform (the 'Service') — including our website, mobile applications, and related services — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Shiksha Setu Pvt. Ltd. ('Shiksha Setu', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in India.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using Shiksha Setu, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are registering on behalf of a college, institution, or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at support@shikshasetu.in.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. Providing false information, impersonating another person, or creating accounts for fraudulent purposes is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination.

One person may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the free-tier limits is a violation of these Terms.

You may use Shiksha Setu solely for your personal, non-commercial career preparation purposes — including studying, practising assessments, and accessing AI-generated guidance.

You may not: (a) reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any content from the platform without our prior written consent; (b) use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract data; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our software; (d) use the Service to train competing AI models; or (e) use the Service in any way that violates applicable Indian or international law.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the platform (answers, notes, uploaded documents). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process that content solely to provide and improve the Service.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, without prior notice.

Shiksha Setu uses artificial intelligence to generate personalised study roadmaps, interview feedback, career recommendations, and practice content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, outdated information, or recommendations that are not suitable for every individual's circumstances.

AI-generated content is provided for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute professional career counselling, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You should exercise your own judgement and, where appropriate, seek professional guidance.

Shiksha Setu shall not be liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content.

All content on the Shiksha Setu platform — including text, graphics, logos, assessments, curricula, AI models, and software — is the exclusive property of Shiksha Setu Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property beyond the limited licence to use the Service for your personal preparation.

Certain features of Shiksha Setu are available under paid subscription plans. All fees are stated in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. Shiksha Setu does not store your full card or bank account details.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, available on the platform.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@shikshasetu.in.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Shiksha Setu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of income, loss of data, or loss of opportunity — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through direct negotiation with us for a period of 30 days.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
